Costco also uses single vendors for single types of items which gives them the advantage of high amounts and costs of sales from single vendors. Costco also sells discounted alcohol and tobacco products as well as gasoline.

Memberships to Costco currently runs from $50 to $100 per year. You may only shop at Costco locations if you are a member or a member brings you as a guest. You may shop on the Costco website however you will be charged and extra five percent if you are not a member. Costco also has limitations on payment methods that non-members can use.
